A Time of Terror: The Great
Dayton Flood
1965
A thrilling minute-by-minute narrative historical account of the
great disastrous flood that struck Dayton, Ohio, in April, 1913.
It chronicles the heroism, cowardice, terror and despair of the

Great Miami River, the Mad River, the Stillwater River and Wolf
Creek -- all converged in the heart of downtown Dayton and submerged
the city under 28 feet of raging waters. Nominated for a Pulitzer
Prize in history. Published in both hardcover and trade paperback
editions. Dramatized for the stage at Wright State University, Dayton,
Ohio, 1998. Originally published in 1965 by Little, Brown &
Co., Boston, Mass., it is still in print in a new hardcover edition
